Alison Farrer is a fantastic genealogist. I highly recommend hiring her. She pieced together clues better than any detective and solved our family mysteries with extreme skill and professionalism. For example, she identified mistakes in the census and then successfully concluded that Agnes Kelly was really Agnes Sherry and our Harris family line was once know as Harrison. Ali did not simply use online tools (which she knows well) but used old fashioned microfilm reels and will actually get in her car and travel to key research centers to do some deep digging. Ali's local knowledge is impressive and contributes to ability to produce successful results. Her people skills are wonderful and she is a pleasure to work... and she was very patient with me and all the false leads I kept sending her. Brilliant work Ali, many thanks!

I've known Ali for years socially and decided to get my Father's side researched by Ali, excellent job, translated all the "Ye Olde" handwriting from the old records as there was no way I'd have been able to work out what they said (a bit like my own handwriting!) Created an easy to follow genealogy chart going back to the early 1700's and even gave me a contact in Ireland if I wished to go further "down the line" as one branch came over from there, job well done and well worth the money!

I found Alison online, read her reviews on Ayrshire Genealogy and ask her to look at my mother's tree. She was a absolute delight to correspond with and done a great investigation at a great price. Couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Alison for any Scottish genealogy that you might have. Thanks again Alison.

Alison is a warm and friendly person, so easy to work with. She transformed my rough family notes collected over many years and transformed them into a professional clearly set out Descendant Chart, adding additional information she had researched and recorded. I was delighted with the result and would highly recommend Alison to anyone wanting to find out more about their family history.

After working with Alison online I arranged to have her assist me while visiting Saltcoats, Stevenston, Ardrossan and Ayr for the first time. She was phenomenal. The highlight of our trip to Scotland was Alison's perseverance at locating and then clearing a pathway through some rough underbrush to reveal the tombstone of my ggg grandparents in the Stevenston High Kirk Cemetery. An amazing discovery.

Alison is warm, funny, conscientious, thorough, easy-to-get-along-with and incredibly professional. Do your self a favor. If visiting the area not only hire her as a local genealogist but as a tour guide as well. She's the best.

Alison was terrific. I had tried for the last two years to get information on my Father's Family in Scotland - and kept hitting dead ends. But Alison was able to go further back then I ever could have. It's wonderful to be able to pass on this information on my children, their children and the many generations to come. Thanks a million Alison. You're the best!!!!

Many thanks to Alison for helping me to find the burial place of my 3x great grandfather's burial in St Pancras cemetery, Middlesex in 1867. Alison was at the Deceased Online stand at WDYTYA at the SECC last month. Alison was so patient and searched 19 'possibles' before accessing my ancestor's burial place and date. I have been looking for years to find this information and am very grateful for her help.
