Scottish Ancestral Research
Alison will carry out research tailored to meet your needs and is committed to offering you a reliable and professional service.
"Part of the pleasure of genealogical research is finding out about members of your family through retrieving available documents."
Copies of Statutory Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates can be obtained along with copies of Old Parish Registers of Births, Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths, if required.
Alison has knowledge of other aspects of Genealogical research, including Monumental Inscriptions, Burial Records, Wills & Testaments, Valuation Rolls, House & Land Registry Records, Archival Records and many other historical records which can enhance the results of your genealogical research.
Alison has also undertaken Ancestral Tours and can organise bespoke tours on request. Other work she has undertaken includes Probate Research in partnership with Lawyers and fellow Genealogists. She also runs Workshops for Beginners Genealogy.
She is happy to undertake talks for Societies and Local Groups by request. While working with Local Government, Alison produced two leaflets detailing the history of the Pencil in Largs and the Auchenharvie Pit Disaster in Stevenston. She has written several articles as well on Local and Family History.
